In order to improve gemological activities, one of the key principles is standard development and it is one of the main missions of GC which is mainly based on CIBJO (The World Jewellery Confederation) professional documents. In 2016 GC “The Gemological Laboratory Book, A Guide for the Management and Technical Operations (2012-1)” offered as first Iranian standard to Iranian National Standards Organization that proved one year later. 3 other standards on Diamond, pearl and color stones are in progress of final editing.
